Dr. Raimondo brings over 20 years of experience in the eating disorder space. She holds a Ph.D. from the Alliant University of San Francisco where she focused her research on the impact of binge eating disorder on work productivity and motivation to change using an online self-help modality. She has been an activist in the field for over 25 years.
Dr. Raimondo works directly with clinicians who treat complex and challenging eating disorders and body image issues. She provides case consultation and clinical advice in a collaborative way that explores ways to move your clients from diagnosis to recovery.
Clinicians and business owners in the health and wellness space don’t have a space where they can safely explore, reflect and get creative.
They don’t know how to help provide support for serving those with eating disorders. They have questions around how to provide socially just solutions in the workplace. They are afraid to innovate because they don’t have the expertise required.
Consultations offer a safe space to be curious, reflective and explore pinpointing and supporting through the most effective treatment options.

“Marcella Raimondo is a founding member of the ASDAH Advisory Board and has brought such incredible leadership, vision, and analysis to the critical work of this international organization. She brings a wealth of professional knowledge to the table in addition to her razor sharp understanding of systems of oppression. Her formal training matched with her lived experience is just one of the many things that make her stand out. This winning combination has had lasting impacts with both her clients/patients as well as in the organizational development work I have witnessed her support. She is truly a gifted leader in our movement for size justice! “

I have had the pleasure of working with Marcella for over a year, utilizing her guidance and feedback in management consulting and relying on her supervision and expertise for my staff in the treatment of eating disorders for clients of all genders. Marcella’s social justice lens and awareness of the need for equity in therapy, supervision, and management has been crucial to me during trying times for my business, and she has been a reliable and invaluable resource as a supervisor to my pre-licensed staff.
